How to Setup or Customize Checkout Product Upsell.

Before you start customizing theĀ Cart, here is the guide toĀ open theĀ Sale MaxĀ SettingsĀ page.
In the 'Shipping Protection, Free Gift & Product Upsell' section, click on the eye icon to enable or disable the 'Product Upsell'.
(1) Upsell Type


In thisĀ 'Upsell Type'Ā selector, there areĀ threeĀ types available.

1. Shipping Protection:Ā This option enables the shipping protection for product in the checkout section.


2. Gift Product:Ā This option enables the gift product option in the checkout section.


3. Product Upsell:Ā This option enables upselling of other products in your Cart Drawer checkout Footer section.


Select the one that suits your preferences or needs.

After selecting 'Product Upsell,' you can enable product upsell in the checkout section. This feature allows you to suggest additional products to customers during the checkout process, potentially increasing your sales.
(2) Product Type

There are two options available for product upsell:


1. Shopify Recommendation:Ā This option provides product recommendations based on Shopify's algorithm, which shows relevant products for your customers.

Note: Using this option, products will not display on the admin side; only a product skeleton will appear. You can see the products on the frontend, as Shopify recommendations work based on the items in the cart

2. Trigger Product: This option allows you to manually choose which products to display in your Checkout product upsell offer

(3) Product Rows
In this field, you can set two or more product rows in theĀ CheckoutĀ upsell, with a maximum limit of 10 rows.
(4) Discount type

There areĀ two optionsĀ available for cart product upsell discounts:

1. No Discount:Ā This option does not provide any discount when the customer adds the product to the cart.

2. Create Discount:Ā This option applies a percentage discountĀ  OR Fixed Amount Discount that you set on the product when the customer adds it to the cart.

(5) Button Text
You can change the "Add" button text forĀ CheckoutĀ upsell products according to your needs and language preference.
(6) Compare Price
Check or uncheck to enable or disable the "Compare Price" forĀ CheckoutĀ product upsell. This checkbox allows you to control whether theĀ CheckoutĀ upsell product displays the compare price.

(7) General ColorĀ 

i) Product Title
  • Use this option to customize the text color of the upsell product title displayed in the cart drawer.
ii) Compare Price
  • This option allows you to change the compare-at price color of the upsell product.
iii) Selling Price
  • Use this option to customize the selling price color of the upsell product displayed in the cart drawer.
iv) Variant Box Border
  • This option lets you customize the border color of the upsell product variant dropdown.
v) Variant Box Text
  • Use this option to change the text color displayed inside the upsell product variant dropdown.
vi) Button Text
  • This option allows you to customize the text color of the upsell product Add button.
vii) Button Background
  • Use this option to customize the background color of the upsell product Add button.
Once youā€™ve completed all the required changes,Ā click the Save buttonĀ at theĀ top centerĀ or theĀ top rightĀ of the screen to save them.
